93 Corvette won't start
My 93 was recently broken into and they removed my aftermarket radio not so gently.
the car started the next day and I was able to take it to bodyshop for an apprasial.
the following week i was going to take the car to the body shop and the car started stumbled and stalled, no the car will turn over but won't start.
The car fill try to start with a shot of starting fluid so i don't believe spark is an issue.
I went and borrowed a fuel pressure gage from autozone and the system will shoot to 48 lbs when the key is turned but then the pressure dropps down to somewhere around 10lbs I assume this may be a gauge issue as when i crank the car it shoots back up to 48lbs but never starts or tries to start.
not sure where to go now as it appears I have air, spark, and fuel.
could this be a security system issue... I am lost and the body shop won't take the car until i can get it running... any advice would be great....
As it starts on the spray it would appear you are not getting fuel while the engine is being cranked over which could be VATS ( security) related.VATS has 2 components (is only in effect when the engine is cranked) ; takes out the starter and the injectors and in rare cases one part can fail while the other remains working
Or the computer is not seeing the ref signal from the dist showing that the engine is being cranked over so it knows to spray the injectors
You could read through this to confirm the correct signals are being seen by the computer
