does anyone know any tricks to help get better traction on the street my car spins bad and i end up losing. i kill them on the track but on the street i can't hook up i spin all of first gear and half of second before i ever catch traction.
I too have a lot of trouble hooking up. When I'm on it hard, my tires chirp going into 4th @ 95-100 mph. I learned to feather the throttle , and get the tires spinning a bit so the RPMs climb but not just drop the hammer and watch the tach hit 6300
It's a delicate balance that some people have mastered. I am not one of them, but learn as I go along :D
On the street you have to perfect the technique of "driving it" off the line.
I have to press the accelerator progressivley as speed increases. The other day I got frustrated in realy heavy traffic, hammered it and they went up in smoke big time. BTW, I run GY Eagles that typically pull 2.0x short times at the strip.
