Power Locks
My power locks are not locking the door of my 84 anymore. I had the doors apart the other day and all is still connected. It moves the slides when pushed, just not enough to lock either door. Any ideas on what might be wrong? I sprayed the mechanism's with wd-40 last night, maybe that will free them up?

Well i know the power locks are weaker if the car sits for a while. If you toggle it from lock to unlock to lock etc for a few times see if it gets better if it doesnt, you have a linkage problem, a broken clip, disconnected rod. :smash:

I noticed your vette is an 84. Did you try replacing the switches? They are electrical inside, perhaps there's a problem with that. I just did mine for cosmetic reasons but they are only $7 each at the local chevy dealer.
