Default Frisbee removal '91...

I know its been covered in more than several archived posts, but one question for anyone who has removed a 91's......do the 4 13mm mounting bolts also serve to mount the waterpump pulley??

Several threads have stated that the belt did not have to be removed which would lead me to believe the waterpump pulley has it's own separate set of bolts!

Any help would be most appreciated and {Lying mode activated} rewarded with cash{Lying mode deactived} confused

 ...and no I'm not lying

I have a 91, and no, the pulley does not need to be removed. Make sure you put the bolts back in though. Its about a 5 minute job...

 It's the same, one set of bolts.

If you are quick and carefull you can remove the nuts and the frisbee without removing the belt, but it is better IMHO to remove the belt

Get several washers, per bolt to replace the thickness of the frisbee

You'll like the results of removal, engine spools up a bit faster

Thanks guys......guess I'll have some extra washers handy just in case....I've seen pics of the early Frisbees and the late ones and early ones looked a bunch thicker requiring washers.

No washer needed, you can use an oil filter wrench to hold the pulley while tightening.

I used the washer to be sure that the nuts didn't get down to the bitter end of the boltsa and to be sure of correct pulley alignment.

Maybe I am overly concerned

.......Great idea.....gonna do it.

.........I read about another member who had pulled his Frisbee without installing the washers....he was getting a whine after starting the car....he installed the washers and it went away....must of been the bolt tips hitting the water pump housing.....anyway....I'm gonna have a few washers on hand just in case......I think, from all I have read on the subject it is "Year Model Specific".

Mucho Gracias to everyones' input....gonna do it over the weekend

:)
