PO336 Code

1996 LT1 vert. Was throwing PO335 and PO336. Had water pump and new Opti Spark installed. Still throwing PO336....?

The two codes are for the crank shaft position sensor. The sensor
is bolted to the lower passenger side of the timing cover
and the signal is used to detect an engine misfire.

Make sure the wire harness is plugged in. If you have a scope
you can monitor the signal.

Make sure the wire leading to the sensor is run outside of, and as far away as possible, from the spark plug wires.
