Does anyone know what's involved in converting to an automatic AC control unit? I have a 93 and someone I know has a mint automatic ac control unit. What else if anything has to be changed?

Thanks in advance.
You don't even want to think about it! It would be more practical to buy a car if C68 is that critical of an option. The C60 is conversational, maybe more conversational if it's a 'vert with the aux top CC2. There's to much to mention that would need to be purchased, I doubt $3000 would come close to accomplishing the task. Just forget about it. I believe I might have forgot to mention: Don't even think about it!
The only way that would be practical is if you had a parts car that you could get the entire system from.
But, just for fun: You'd need the wiring harness. I don't know how different they were between the C60 and C68 options. The control head. The HVAC programmer. Blend door motor. Fan speed controller. The C68 system has a diode on the compressor connector to protect the fan speed controller (which also controls the compressor). I think it's possible that the vacuum lines might move from the C60 control head to the HVAC programmer without modification. The ECM is involved in the C68 system also, so there might be some wires in the harness for those functions.
