Default Help Identify Connector!!

So I haven't been on here in forever because I sold my vette but I recently found another and couldn't pass up the deal!
I'm trying to get it running and I found this connector under the dash that looks important but is not hooked up
someone else monkeyed with this car before me and I'm trying to get it running. Any help is appreciated!
I am trying to get a picture uploaded of the connector

I've seen the connector - post the year and take a snapshot of the end view so the number of "cavities" can be seen and the type of terminals that are in it. Everything will help! At least count the number of cavities and whether the terminal is male or female in gender!!

Without the year it's difficult to help but it actually looks like it could be a mating connector to "one half" of the directional signal switch depending on year! That's actually something of a WAG but sometimes it's entertaining!

The OP it seems might have as much trouble with sorting the "phone or Android device" as he's likely going to have with his most recent Corvette purchase! Just sayin'

Put [ IMG ] (without the spaces) in front of the image link and [ /IMG ] (without the spaces) after the image link. It will look something like:
[ IMG ]http://www.somedomain.com/xxx.jpg[ /IMG ]

Another way to do it is click the "Go Advanced" button. Once there, click on the little icon that looks like a post card (remember those?). A dialog box will come up that you can type or paste the link into.

Hey guys! sorry for keeping you waiting I've been working on trying to get my vega rolling! its a 1993 corvette automatic trans. I'll post more pictures of the connector tomorrow but it is the female part of the connector and has three metal pins in it. Two of the wires share one of the connectors (purple and white) I'll look over the how to post sections thanks!
wvzr-1 what is the directional switch? I'm guessing turn signals correct?
I know I'm close to getting this on the road and am still researching before I bombard the forum with questions!

where would the directional normally go? that's the exact kind of guess I am looking for!
Tried looking in a manual a friend let me borrow but no luck there. If its not major I'm thinking of letting it be and trying to focus on getting it running first. Thought maybe it could be a very important connector stopping it from starting. At least I was able to solve a few problems with one of the machines haha

It could be important but you haven't mentioned where the donor drive train came from or even what the drive train is, I asked for a snapshot of the end view of the connector, the model etc of what ever it is your working on and you've not seen fit to post it so I doubt you'll find help here. It was once told me that if you can't ask an intelligent question you certainly can't expect an intelligent response.

Good luck!

That's the connector for the incandescent power driver.
It's a heat sink with a transistor mounted on it and is bolted
to a bracket on the left side and the near the middle of the steering
column.

It controls the background lighting brightness (which depends on the position of the dimmer switch) for the following items when the headlight switch is in the Head or Park position.

PRND indicator for Auto trans, Radio and HVAC control heads,
LH, RH Power seat switches, Driver information
center and Selective ride control switch, Power
mirror switch, RH, LH Power window switch,
Lighted rear view mirror and LH, RH Door Courtesy
lamps.
