brake pads

put brake pads on for my first time, went well but does it matter if the wear indicator is on the inside? I have it on the outside

Yes it does matter. The indicator needs to be facing against the rotor in order for it to work as designed. Which is to make chirping sound when it gets low. If you have it facing out you will not hear the wear indicator. Also if you have the indicator facing out that means you have the pads backwards. Make sure the brake surface material is facing against the rotor. The metal backing needs to be against the caliper piston. You will damage your rotors if this is not correctly.!
