Use your old pads.
If you can't use the old pads, then with new ones stay away from heavy braking for the first 1-2K miles (i.e. No 120-50 in 100') type stops. Normal everyday driving (not normal Vette driving) type stops are OK. Then at the 2K mark bed pads and rotors properly, i.e. heat them up slowly, keep them hot for 10 minutes, cool down slowly and no parking brakes (rear pads).
