Default Shocks

I have a 1996 and new to c4 vette. What shocks are you running? This one is just a stock daily driver no mods just want a good ride and controll. Old looking Monroe's are on there now and it feels like right rear is shot. Either way I don't like the ride now so it's time for new ones.

Bilstein shocks are preferred by the performance people.
KYB are best bang for your buck.

I also have a 96 and I recently replaced the stock F45 shocks with KYB. The KYB's are a smoother ride and make a noticeable difference. They are also cheap while the f-45 are 4 or 5 times the amount if you can find them. There was nothing wrong with the F45's but I was cleaning up and replacing all the front suspension parts so I just changed them as well as they are fairly cheap. I also had them on my 86 so I knew that they are a smoother ride. With the stock f-45 I could not tell the difference between the 3 settings at all. I have not yet auto crossed or raced so being a daily driver I just wanted the smoothest ride possible. Rock auto is where I bought them and it was the cheapest place. I also saved the original shocks so I can always go back but it doesn't sound like you have the originals on there. Good luck, it's an easy job
