Default 1992 Fuel Rail covers

Hello,

I am new to the forum as I have recently purchased a 1992 6-speed. Only has 44K miles and is black on red. It has a few issues and I will be sorting them out on here.

I need a set of fuel rail covers and see some pairs on eBay for 94-96 models. What is the difference between those and a 1992? If it is cosmetic only I will get a set. I cannot locate 92-93 covers anywhere.

Mike

I've seen those in person, and they are top quality.

The 92 and 94-95 are quite a bit different. I know because I made the mistake of buying the 94-95 for my 92.

The hose for the PCV valve is on the right side and requires an opening in the cover to accomadate it. Also the upper portion of the covers are different between the models.

The ones for the 92 are difficult to find but they are out there. Wait and get the ones for your 92 unless you want to modify the 94-95 covers so that they fit.

Default Thanks

Yeah I am doing some research and seeing that. It would require some surgery for that PCV hose and I would rather get the correct ones. I will keep searching....thanks

The fuel rail covers are different, and I actually made that mistake as well. I have an early set of LT1 fuel rail covers that I had hydro coated carbon fiber to put on my 96 Grand Sport and needless to say that it didn't work out at all. The difference between early and late is the square hump on the passenger side cover, the late model LT's don't have that. The most difficult part was getting the Corvette emblems, but I had these hand painted and clear coated onto the covers so they won't be going anywhere.

SO, If your interested in a premo set of CF coated, then let me know.
