Pics of New Seat Belt Pads ~ Please Take My Poll
My hope is to start selling these in the "not too distant" future. The background material is high quality / felt backed vinyl. I hope to offer them with basic background material colors, but the buyer will be able to choose custom embroidery colors for the lettering, and a custom word. My poll question is ~ do you think there is a market for these?

Purp, there is always a market for anything that says "Corvette", I am not so sure that it will be a large demand item, though.

Although not my taste, I definately think there would be a market. For me maybe not the bright white lettering but something more subtle. I know, black or gray stitch lettering on black or gray back. I would need a gray pad with black stitch letters or a black pad with gray stich lettering and keep the lettering narrow. I think you have something going here it's just finding out what most everyone likes.

Re: Pics of New Seat Belt Pads ~ Please Take My Poll (poppy)
turn the letters and use a more corvette font (whatever that means hehe)
Also as suggested, subtle is good with the colors
They are interesting, and i would consider buying if there was a few tweaks. Maybe a year appropriate logo on there someplace?
Keep us posted :)

It would be nicer if the Corvette logo reads side to side across like the actual logo instead of up and down.

It looks cool thought...... almost like the car came with them. I would like black leather with red lettering that is kinda aggressive.
just my $.02!

Is it marketable..... Look at the freakin Chia Pet....What kind of responses do you think that guy got when he asked that question?
Now he can probably buy 30 corvettes and not blink and eye.
I think there would definately be a market for them. I look through MAD magazine, etc and see all sorts of goofy things (not that yours is goofy).
You will never catch me dead in a corvette shirt, but hey that is just my taste. I see lots of others wearing them...
If you have the ambition to make them and market them....GO FOR IT!

I know that Christine would love to have one. She's always complaining that seat belts were designed by men.

My wife says the same thing. Right now I've got one of those big ugly fuzzy wool thingys on the belt.
Depending on price, I'd be interested.
What does it feel like as it cuts across the drivers neck?

Re: Pics of New Seat Belt Pads ~ Please Take My Poll (John Row)
I will try to answer as many of the questions as I can:
The lettering on my covers is really purple (go figure  ). I own a Mavica digital camera, and at one time I thought it was wonderful ~ now I think it sucks. I will try to get better pictures.
My partner and I want these covers to be fully custom, meaning that we won't produce them until we receive an order. The down side is that it will take longer to get them. We are trying to work out the details, but if everything works out, the up side will be that you get to choose the Message (Corvette, Chevy, year, etc.), font, font layout, and embroidery color.
Using the Corvette Logo requires licensing, and we want to stay away from that if possible.
The pads will be made with a full strip of Velcro to secure the ends that wrap around the belt. That means that you can slide it into the position that best suits the user.
Our biggest challenge is to be able to work economically with the embroidery shop. Most want to charge a new setup fee for every little change. We ran this survey so that we could determine the interest level. Hopefully we can overcome all the obstacles and offer these in the near future.
My partner is a Mopar nut , and although I find that as a fault, I don't hold it against him. ;) so, anyway, he will be talking to the Mopar/Shelby folks and see what their interest is also.
Thanks to everyone for taking the time to participate in this survey. We will keep everyone informed as things progress.

My. 02...
I've seen way too many ricers with similar covers. I think they are tacky, course my wife thinks my GS hashmarks are tacky also. If you can make money at do it by all means!

Looks kewl. May I suggest that you try doing the lettering in the "C5" font. I think the guys with C5's will buy anything "C5" as long as it is expensive enough.

Maybe its just me but Im used to reading left to right and I think it might look better to have the C starting near the bottom and the rest of the letters going towards the top?
