Getting power to the pink wire when key is on
Haven't checked for moisture yet, but there shouldn't be any anywhere, it has been hot out.
I'm going through the same situation as you at this time, I checked my opti wiring harness from my computer and everything checks ok, checked the ICM/coil and everything is ok but, I still have a intermittent code 16, mine wouldn't start and had no spark and other times it would start, it didn't make any sense to me, then i started wiggling the engine compartment body ground straps on the car and it started, the ground strap that is routed under the brake booster that leads to/from under the car, I wiggled that one....stuck my hand under the brake booster and followed it to the bolt that holds it down and wiggled it, then hopped in the car and it started!! I haven't changed it yet to confirm that it is for sure that is the problem, it wouldn't hurt to look into it? What code are you getting?
here goes my thread i started last week, it has some good check/voltage info in it:
i bought various versions of aftermarket optis and most were crap. Finally found one at autozone that had a mitsubishi module (that would be oem for those not in the know) in it, it has been great.... bottom line for me anymore, the cheap ebay stuff is great for housings, bearings cap and rotor, but the chinese electronics are junk.
