My 95 convertible has some vibration in the front end and noise. Around 60 mph there is some shimmy in the steering wheel. This happens in about a 2-3 mph window and is gone. There is also some "float" going into corners. The car has 39k on it. Is there anything I should look at replacing/doing to the front end? I have thought about replacing the sway bar bushings and also the shocks. Could these be the culprits? Thanks for any advice.

Sounds like a wheel balance problem with that low mileage. Check that the wheel weights are in place and that one or more didn't jettison themselves off. How old are the tires? If they sit in one place for a long time they could become flat on the bottom and generate a vibration.
The tires are only a couple of years old...the originals had dry rot cracks when I bought it. I had thought about a balance problem but discounted it because of it only being from approx. 60-62 mph. Other than that it is smooth. The other issue is the "float" going into corners...I was blaming that on the shocks.

Not sure what you mean when you say float? Can you better describe it? Also it is possible for a vibration to develop for a very short period of time like you said 60-62mph? Especially if it's very slight.

Actually an unbalanced wheel will generally only cause a major vibration/shimmy over a narrow range of speeds when it hits the resonant frequency of the system. In the most basic analysis the wheel is a simple mass-spring-damped system with the rotating eccentric weight (or tire out-of-roundness) acting as the exciting element. Worn shocks (the damper in the system) would only accentuate the problem and shift the frequency very slightly. Since the front wheel has a slight caster angle, a poor toe-in alignment might also exhibit a similar frequency dependent shimmy.
I'd consider balance first, then out of roundness or alignment before I'd go looking for suspension issues (bushings, ball joints, tie rods, etc.).
Check the tire balance. If the tires are Michelins, they have softer sidewalls and often require a couple of pound more air or they do "float". If not, and they are not Michelins and the pressures are correct, change shocks.
