Dumb Question-What is a Frisbee?
I've seen posts about forum members removing the "Frisbee." I assumed that it was a rotating part on the front of the engine, but I didn't see anything resembling a frisbee on my LT-1. Thanks in advance for the help. :conehead

I think it was just on the late L98 motors, so I dont think yours has one. Someone correct me if I'm wrong.

OTCGrad: You are correct, sir!!! No frisbees on LT1's. L-98's only, from '88 thru '89, I think! At least I know my '88 had one.

since we know WHEN they were put on... now, for the what - it is a device that was put on a pully to control/contain the belt... however, it weighed a ton and by removing it freed up some horses...

It was supposed to act like a "flywheel" to smooth out the A/C compressor cycling on and off and eliminate reported belt "chirp" Take it off!
