total power loss on passenger side
just bought this 90 model and it has no power to the seat,window or radio. seems to have no power to anything on passenger side. also will not shift to 3rd or 4th gear. can anyone please help?

start going thru fuses. If that finds nothing start tracing the wire harness back to where it does have power. Harness splits under center console and passenger side firewall. Seat harness runs down tunnel to under carpet to seat. Door harness unfortunately is in the "tube" thru the side of chassis/body hinge area to the inside...lots is buried. Get inside the door and see what if anything has power going to it. Switches fail, so do servos.
Start pulling bezels to access switches for power test at switch.
1st thing to do is to order your FSM set otherwise your local shop is going to get RICH.
The books have one book that is 100% electrical with complete drawings and color codes to match your car. The work can't be done without it. Shop FleaBay for used sets $75, shop here for new editions. $100-125
Trans....if its stick, look over the linkage for loose parts or mounts.
Auto, no manual upshift? no OD? just keeps winding out in D ? Most likely internal but you can drop the pan to see what chunks are laying in there. If none, you might get off easy...got chunks? find a shop, and $2500.

thanks, thinking it sounds like under the console, 90% in there has no power. speedo and dash lights all work but no radio, blower motor or window controls.
Didn't know if the trans(a/t) not upshifting could be part of the same problem.
