1992 - Can't pull codes
My 92 vette (LT1) is running the fuel very rich. It starts to cut out when accelerating. I took it to a good mechanic, but he said that he cannot pull codes. He is unsure if it is the wiring harness or the computer that is bad. Any suggestions?

The correct type scanner ; OBDI not the OBDII scanner that most mechanics have now.
You can try and pull the codes yourself

If you can't get the codes to display that way then you do actually have a problem

Same could be true with a wiring problem from / at the ALDL connector
We don't know yet how the mechanic tried to pull the codes.
Going on recent posts from members as to the knowledge of some out there, the quality leaves alot to be desired.
Hence the requirement as a C4 owner to be able to do basic troubleshooting so as to avoid unnecessary "repairs".
