You should be shifting a stock L98 in the 4500 range.
When my car was stock, the ratios worked out in my 4+3 that I maximized my torque usage shifting 1st to 2nd @ 4600, and all other shifts at 4400.

yep.. I think I lost about 0.5sec to shift all points at 4900rpm at the trac today :/
