My 90 vert idles too fast. I found an article about setting the idle on pre 90s but it said the 90-96 has a non-adjustable idle. Surely not. Any help out there?

The idle is adjustable as per the link by disabling the IAC and adjusting the throttle stop.
The TPS is not.The ECM takes the voltage it first sees as the baseline TPS voltage.
If you are really worried you can do what some do and slot the holes in the TPS to get adjustment like on the earlier cars
If it is idling too fast, there is an underlying cause. Usually an air leak. Don't treat the symptom; cure the problem.
I know nothing about GM and how they've evolved over the years. It may take me a while to catch on. I plan to clean the TB first and see what that does.
I'm a little fish in a big, new pond. What is the FSM?
"Factory Service Manual", its what the dealers use.. Everyone should have a FSM if you own one of these cars.. They sometimes have them in the "for sale" section or try ebay... They are year specific...WW

I had one for my Ramcharger and it was the best tool I had for it. I'll look. Great idea. You've all been a great help.
If you find your issue please post it. I have an 89 z51 thats doing the same thing.. I've checked for leaks and havent found any.
I haven't addressed it yet. Everything I've read says to drive the car under normal conditions for 15min after doing a system reset. I just got plates yesterday and went back to work off long brake today. My father-in-law passed last week too. Just a lot going on. As soon as I do it I'll post up. I replaced several vac hoses too, it didn't help. I might be one I didn't change though.

Unless it's a monster air leak you should have a hunting idle, that's where the idle goes up and down and doesn't stay at any constant rpm...WW

I think so too. It's not surging at all, very even, just a bit fast. I still want to get all the variables tied down before I do a reset. This car has a new computer too. I think that enters in, I'm just not sure how yet. One thing at a time.
