New Cam install- Few questions
http://www.competitionproducts.com/E...tinfo/E1065PK/
Now its been about 15 years since I installed a cam. That time the assembly lube was a red grease that came with the cam. This one came with a tube of some green assembly lube that is considerably thinner then the red grease I used last time. I assume just slather all the surfaces with this green stuff and install? Also put it on the lifters?
I have seen a bunch of threads mentioning break in lube or Rotella oil during break in. I dont have cats on my car any more so those failing isnt an issue. I was going to use the rotella- Do I also need a break in additive? If so, can i get it at Autozone or the like?
Set came with valve springs- I assume break everything in FIRST then change the valve springs and seals?
When I have everything primed up and ready to fire, I understand I have to bring it up to between 1800 and 3000 RPM for around 20 minutes- When I first fire the engine, do I immediately have to rev it up or do I have a minute or two for a few adjustments?
And finally- Should i fire the engine and begin break in, then find a leak or something and have to shut down, do I need to start again for another 20 minutes or just continue from where I left off?
Sorry for so many questions. Just want to get it right so I dont have to do it again.

Thanks I will see what I can find locally for the break in additive. Also I will change the springs before firing it- Easier to do it all at once then to do it twice.
Yes my car is carbed... Now if the weather would warm up a little I could get it back together..
