I have a 1984. A while ago the Atari cluter would go crazy when I hit a bunp or going over Rail Road Tracks. Then it seemed to reset and be ok. After a while it would not even take much of a bump at all.
Today it did it again but the bottom right gauge (MPG) and the bottom left gauge (range) are not working correctly.
Bottom right gauge (instant MPG) still works fine.
Bottom left gauge (TRP) still works ok.

Any ideas what it is? Bad ground, connection?
Thanks in advance.
Bad ground would tend to affect the back lighting coming on and off, check engine block above the oil filter that is where all the ground wires connect. Also the wire harness connection to dash make sure they are pushed in all the way.

My cluster works fine during winter, probably metal dilatation works on this issue. In facts when warm is coming, during spring and summer it starts to work bad, untill it's off . I ended up thinking it is due to metal dilatation on ground point. When out is warm it simply loses his ground and it's off for all summer long...During fall when becomes cold ,grounds on chasis become tight and it works again...grounds here are the issue
