Default Fiberglass Spring year compatability

What years (I want to find some z51 springs)that will fit on my 95. If I understand all 84- to 96 will fit the rear but there is a break point in the front that changed, will only 88+ fit my front? Thanks! If anyone has a GOOD CONDITION Z51 rear spring, I need one.

Not true.

There were suspension dimension changes that keep some springs from swapping universally across all yrs..
The change came in..88? with a narrower rear by 3/4" per side. That was made up in wheel offset to keep the same track. The componants changed to fit that design.

You can tell the difference by the mounting blocks and their location. There are still a good selection of springs for all yrs, just buy for your yr model or its "group" of C4 suspension package.

Rear springs all interchange
The width difference is outboard of the knuckle
'88+ are wider ,flange to flange ; achieved by a longer outer yoke and thicker caliper bracket putting the hub 3/4" further outboard
requiring a 56mm offset wheel vs the 32/38mm on the early cars to maintain the same track width

Interesting.
I know I've seen rears that had different mounting blocks. Someone said that those could be removed and repositioned...don;t know. I DO know that many springs were not listed or available across the board, they might fit but many were limited to specific yrs production. Fronts had fewer options. Usually a choice between a convert or coupe. Those changed on different years, thats where the best choices were, looking at a different yr model for a spring that might fit your need.

As per the most accepted spring listing posted above.
There are 7 different front springs for late cars based on original suspension options
All interchange 88 - 96
