Greetings,
My 95 LT1 'vert has a disfunctional fan controller and I need your help diagnosing it. It seems that when the outside temperature is below 70 degrees I am able to raise and lower the fan speed with the two arrows on the climate control panel just fine. But, once the temperature goes above 70 I am only able to lower the fan speed, and not raise it. Sometimes I get lucky and can hit the auto button for the fan, which takes the speed up to 10, and then I can back it down as needed. But most of the time I am not able to raise the fan speed either by the fan up arrow or by the auto fan button.
In addition, once the fan refuses to increase in speed, I am usually not able to lower the temperature with the decrease arrow button either, but I am able to increase it.
I have the same problem ,I find that when it happens ,I push the temp hot and cold buttons together its works, Disconnecting the battery for a few min. then reconnecting sometimes works. If either of these don't work you may have to pull the controller out disconnect, clean the contacts ,and that should work good luck Jim.
