Dana 44 Rebuild
Hey, I've got a worn out Dana 44 89'C4..I can light the inside rear like a Mustang :eek: I'm in the process of trying to rebuild. is there a kit from GM or another manufacturer@ a reasonable price. I Auto-x so mine will take a fair bit of abuse. Any replies welcome. :)

I just went through this. There is a rebuild kit for about $300 from GM, or you can get the assembled Posi for around $430. I'll try and find the sheets with the part#s for ya. :seeya

Try http://www.randysringandpinion.com. You should be able to get the carrier complete with clutches etc for under 200. The dana 44 has much more aftermarket support so parts are cheaper. You'll want a complete install kit to replace the bearings which will run about 110 bucks max.

10181217 Is the # for the whole assembled Posi.
10181218 Is for just the clutch pack which has all the parts to rebuild it.
