93 LT1- Key release problem (from ignition switch)
My ignition switch will not release the key. Mine has the push button which is not allowing the full turn back to the off position and hence the release of the key? Any help appreciated. Thanks, Clay

That generally isn't good but you could try some "contact cleaner" LOTS OF IT in the cylinder and insert/remove the key a few times gently to see if that helps. Don't use any WD40 or the like, those lubricants catch lint/dust. If the "contact cleaner" works use some graphite type lock-ease or similar product, the powder might do best! Good luck! It does generally work!

I'll sure give it a try. I'm not sure of which column I have - or how to identify it, I'll have to check. I wasn't aware that there might be different types
