hey everyone. Ive searched this site for a while looking for answers before posting but can not seem to find anything. Again I am new so I might not be using this properly yet.
So I just bought a 89 Black corvette, automatic, convertable code 36. The thing runs great and sounds awesome. Just had it looked at by a classic corvette shop in town and everything was good to go and in excelent condition except my maf sensor was dirty...
Im looking for things that can be done to it to give it that extra horsespower and sound. The place I took it to to get looked at was very knowledgeable I just would like to have several opinions.
No budget really. I mean I'm not dropping tens of thousands nor do I want a " racetrack" car. I just want a powerful fast car for when I want to punch it or just make the guy in the ****** civic look like a idiot lol.

You'll do that just fine as it is.
you really need a $ amount here. $1000?
$1000 will get you a good pair of headers and a cat back, but not much else
I use to live near Baltimore. You can pick on the Civics all you want, but you might want to stay away from the WRXs or it may be you that ends up looking like an idiot.....There's a club in Baltimore with a few cars having over 500 hp.....WW
Go supercharger. Seems like the biggest problem with TPI is breathing on the top end. Never been in a supercharged TPI, but I have a feeling that it might cure it. =P
Call different speed shops, they could probably source a supercharger. Then, they could make you a bracket or whatever it's going to take for cheaper. Have them compete with each other for the job.
I have a classic corvette shop right down the street that I will have do most of my work and get the parts for things I can do. So that's not a problem. Thanks guys for your help

I mean NO DISRESPECT okay but just about any Toyota Camry is gonna leave looking at their license plate. If you want speed its gonna cost money period. Come to think about it a 2013 Civic might also smoke a L98 off the line ? The freeway is where you will pass them by !
