LT1 Roller Rockers Help
One of the early mods that I did to my LT1 was to install LT4 valve springs and 1.6 ratio rockers - it made a noticeable difference in power.
Good luck, Thomas
BTW, the weak stock LT1 springs are within 0.020" of BIND with 1.6 rockers. They are floating the valves at high revs, it's only a matter of time before they cause a dropped valve.

Anyway, you need to replace the springs with Lt4 springs or whatever is matched to the rockers/cam lift.
To change the springs you need a valve spring compressor. There are three kinds.
A c-clamp type which is only for when the heads are off the car.
A jaw like cork screw like thing. On my 92 C4 I couldn't use it on #8 cyl as the EGR tubing got in the way.
A pry-bar looking thing which will work on all valves.
The jaw like one requires less strength and is much easier to get the locks in. But it is also takes longer to use than the prybar one.
It is more difficult to get the locks in with the prybar type, you are more likely to drop the lock and have to fish it out.
Be sure have a new set of valve seals as they are sold separately.
You will have to use a dremmel to cut off the drip tabs from the inside of the stock covers for the larger RR's. Make suer you clean all the metal dust out of them thoroughly!
Good luck
