93 Antenna fix
hey all, this project car i have has a stuck or broken antennae with a coat hanger jammed in the end. radio on starts the antennae motor but nothing moves. same when shut off. thought i read that shaft can be pulled up and out with a helper and then feed new part back in when radio turned off. has anyone done this ???

I bought a antenna mast on ebay and replaced the broken one. The fun part is taking the antenna out but there are posts explaining how.The replacement mast was about $25 free shipping vs the cost of a new antenna.

The mast can be replaced, but it involves removing the power antenna assembly from the car AND disassembly of the unit itself. You have to remove the cover from the gearbox to remove the broken piece(s) of the old ribbon cable.
