with 96GS#007. You won't get you money or labor out of the modification if you sell it. If you were going to keep it for awhile then go ahead and have fun.

Buy the o4 ZO6 and tell your wife that you bought it for her but have to test it for a few years to be sure that it is safe for her .

I would only install the Hotcam and other parts provided I had a buyer. Not going to put any mods in and then try to sell...for the exact reasons that were stated. I would do the labor as I enjoy working on my cars.

Wife returned home and I asked her and she just said, do whatever you want to do.

As far as the 04 Z06....she knows that would be my car, but I would have to sell both the '96 and the '81 first. I had the '96 just about sold last year but dropped-out as I just was unsettled about it. It's nine months later and I have put less than 1k miles on the car.

Bottom line to this thread....not doing the Hotcam mod...putting it back together and keeping it stock.

Thanks to everyone for the information....it was very interesting reading and I sure appreciate the comments.
