Default Code 23 RF Speed Sensor Continuity Fault

Did the FSM trouble tree as best as I could. I had 1016 resistance in the internal sensor (good), pulled short wiring harness from wheel sensor to wheel well, ohm'd it...good. Check circuit 24 from ebcu wiring connector to tan wire at right front speed sensor no continuity, how in the h*ll do I trace that down? Also, I just today installed a new EBCU unit because the old one went bad, I am still not sure the new used one isnt bad. This is a pain, ever changed a ebcu? Not fun. I need knowledgeable help. PLEASE!

Was that a typo? Diagram shows 22 hi, 23 low. You said 24?

Code 23 (rf continuity) check pinout from ebctu circuit #24 to wheel sensor. Shows no continuity. Sorry for confusion

are you looking at 95 or 96 and VIN P NOT J FSM because they changed in 95. I am looking at mine still shows 22 hi 24 low at ebtcm connector. I have traced the wire with no obvious shorts or opens. When the book says does it show greater than 5 ohms, I have always either had continuity or not, dumb question but how do I measure ohms. I can measure voltage.

Just checked 1996 diagram and it appears the same.

To measure ohms set your meter to the omega symbol, but watch the "scaling" of the meter, it can catch the novice user off guard.

Just checked the pinout for the ebcm and it shows 22 and 24. Is 23 populated on your ebcm? As you probably know you want the tan and dark green wires. The pinout does not list a 23 but the wiring diagram does not show a 24. Not the first time there was a F.U. in service info.

Notice how other sensors are 16 and 17, 18 and 19, 20 and 21, and this one is 22 and 24 ? seems odd

Sorry for the delay, I just drove home from work. Most open circuit failures for abs systems are sensors that go bad. Can you unplug the sensor and get an ohms reading of the sensor itself? Then compare it to the left front. They should be the same. As far as which one is right, Alldata says they edit out errors in the FSM, but who knows?
We will get through this.

You are correct. Most of the time the sensor wires come in to the module side by side as seen in the other three sensors.
