Default Clutch suddenly grabs at floor

My clutch is suddenly grabbing right off the floor. If i pump it up it seems to be a little better. It does not slip at all. Im thinking slave cylinder? Is it an external or internal slave? 89 zf6

Low clutch fluid, or blown master or slave.

The slave is external, you can see it from the bottom of the car.

Okay great, sounds like an easy fix. I was pretty worried. Internal slaves are a huge pita to fix. How can i diagnose if its the master or slave.

Check your fluid level first. If low, suck out what is in there and fill with fresh fluid and see if it corrects your problem.

If your problem still exists, its pretty much a guess to master or slave.
I would do the slave first, because its much easier to change.

Disconnect hose at slave cylinder to drain and flush.
