That there is basically a stelthram rippoff made to fit under the low hood of a vette.
Total height 220 millimeters.
Just like the stealth we used the bottom half of a Weiand tunnelram and basically welded up a plenumbox from "L" shaped 1/4" aluminium.
Made a TB plate on a bridgeport and welded that to the front of the box.
Then my buddy Peter came up with the idea of making the plenum top out of macrolone.
Cool...cause you can more or less see all the way down to the valves :D
TB;s are 65mm units for Audi A6 that we modded in that we cut away the TPS/IAC housing on the drivers side and made a coupler between the axles on a lathe.
Injectors are thought to be the newer series high impedance used in the Volvo "R" series-Bosch code 155.
Delivers 330cc@2,4 bars-but they follow suite more or less in a linear fashion all the way to 8 bars..

Looks great and is a very simple concept. I have seen a few F body guys do the same thing....only using a standard 58mm TB. But get the idea.

Callaway made the same thing in the late 80's.

Congrats on the finished product.

Yes.It indeed is a very simple concept.
After reading up on the stealth, and seing the acute need of a far better flowing intake for my modded 84 AND trying to get a hold of a stealth over the phone from over here..
Welp..what can i say?
Thing is however that just like you say this is fairly simple to make up due to the use of the tunnelram bottom.

for those of you wanting to get a stealth ram but not wanting to mod the hood for clearance , you could just buy the base and fuel rails from holley and make a similar plenum, the pictures show theres not alot involved if all the fuel rail and injector mounting work is already done by holley basically a box with a few holes for the runner entrances and throttle body mounting precisely located and cut/drilled an tapped will do the trick!:D for even an easier mod that RACING needed to do! BTW LOVE THAT LEXAN TOP PLATE ;)

Few pointers along the way...
1/There´s absolutely no need to use as sturdy construction as we did if making what can best be described as a "sealed" box.
We pondered the idea a bit.
Reason for the heavy gauge construction in our case is that we wanted to leave way for turbo boost in the future, and that would most def entail making a sturdier top-which is easy enough.
2/Seing the acute probs of obtaining fuel rails i for one would go the other way around.
Make a set of injector bungs and place the injectors based on easy to find OEM TPI rails. At least that´s what we did,and that leaves us with teh rather functional piece of the TPI parts.
However, this WILL be run with an AFPR made by an Italian comp named Malpassi.(Ie;the OEM FPR is out in this case)
3/Same thing with the TB;s and further up the road their connection to any and all airfilters or boxes.
Most industrial warehouses carry good quality rubber hoses and such that´s downright cheap.
A filter box can be scavanged from more or less any modern car at a local scrapyard for a few dollars, and bets are that K&N makes a filter for it.
Rest is basically som plumbing..
Guys at the warehouse can also supply you with GOOD looking stainless clamps for the hoses making for one unique :chevy

Beautiful!!! :D I figured someone would beat me to it. I'm going to do something similar with my stealthram. I still need the fuel rails (waiting since April) but I have the intake.

Have you tried installing the distributor? It looks like you're going to have to go distributorless. I plan on using the Electromotive TEC 3.

Nice work. Very

Torquejunky.
I´m already running a Haltech E6H and a Unilite.
As far as we´ve gathered(measured) the unilite will clear the intake with about 1,5mm to spare..

Can you give the dimensions of the plenum you created? Is there clearance for a distributor?

I've been screaming for months that http://www.tunedport.com has a tpi-style plenum that bolts to the tunnel ram base, or at least some sort of very similar base, but nobody ever seems too interrested in it, dispite the fact that it's basically a stealth ram that'll fit under a vette hood.
