Default Anyone running a Keisler Perfect Fit?

I'd like some feedback from anyone who has used the Keisler
Perfect Fit TKO 600 5sp. I'm running a Richmond ROD and it's had the bearings replaced twice in it's seven year run. The ROD is only rated for 450 LB/TQ not enough thanks in advance

great post LD85, it appears that the swap is straightforward and makes the torque arm much easier to remove and replace. What kind of power are you making? My issue with the ROD was as I changed engines and increased power the transmission had more issues. thanks again for the detail

My next to last Dyno was 428-RWHP / 458-RWTQ

My buddy ol'Rj had the ROD 6 and used it for road racing but the synchros went out often, so he went to teh TKO 600 and never looked back .

I had the 4+3, then the ZF-6 Blue tag, then tossed it and bought the TKO00, and I have never looked back as well, money well spent, quiet, strong, dependable and serviceable in many many many more shops than the ZF

I recommended to my friend to buy a complete conversion for a "87" 4 +3. It's in a race car used in NASA ST2. He has run it for two years. Not a hint of trouble. It's a 5 speed close ratio . If I ever need a tranny that's the way I'm going for my race car [ C4] also.

Larry,

Were you able to use the same driveshaft from the ZF setup with the TKO?

Yes, but the TKO came with a new yoke

Alsm, I will say that with my 3:42 rear gears, I don't like not having 6th gear, but this is ONLY when I drive 80-mph or faster, otherwise I would never use a 6th gear.

I am heavily contemplating this in the future for my race car, so goo to know I wouldn't have to hunt down a driveshaft from a 4+3 or something. Since it would be race only I would get the .82:1 5th ratio and not having 6th would be better since I would never use it.

Its quite and it takes any full synthetic synchro mesh oil, I was told to use Pennzoil which is @ 1/3 the cost of the ZF/BMW/Liquid Gold

I bought an Hurt INDY shifter and cut the bottom off and drilled two new holes for the shifter and it is perfect height for me
