Default 1990 H15 Coolant Sensor Circuit High

Just replaced the Surge Fill Tank and went for a driving round the block and the car staled down the street. It will turn over but not start. Haven't driven it for months. I checked for codes and got C12 and H15 Coolant Sensor Circuit would that keep it from starting?

Interesting - the Code is in History so it isn't Current and it ends up in History because it opened - or was disconnected - or the Sensor broke - while it was running. When that happens, the coolant temp is interpreted as -38 degrees and the ECM is smart enough to know that's impossible. Easy enough to check if it's plugged in or if the Connector is crapped out. Sensor is on the front of the Intake with Yellow and Black wires. You can also check resistance across the Sensor terminals - there are charts for specific temps, but anything other than Infinity on your Meter shows it's doing something. After you do all this - making sure the Sensor has resistance and plugged in - disconnect the battery to clear everything out and then see if it will start.
