Default WHEELS: Suggestions,opinions,pictures

I'm looking for some wheel ideas for my 88. I'm looking to stay with 17" front and back with the correct Factory 56MM offset. Stock is 9.5" wide but i'm open to opinions on a wider wheel. Any and all ideas and opinions are welcome. Please posts pictures or links if you have them.....thanks

Mark

There is no 'correct' offset. Its whatever you want to achieve the look you want. You can buy from the many custom builders in anyoffset and width you feel like or be like everyone else and put other generation wheels on.

Something a little different..... Cray Manta Hyper-silver
Cray only makes wheels for Corvette.... similar to the C6ZR1.
17x9.5 all corners.

It is a complete site..... you will enjoy the 'configurator' feature showing how the wheels look on all Corvette models, and a
tech guide on the wheels and coatings.

GM put various size rims and tires on late C4's.
My 1992 model came with 9.5x17 wheels all around with 275-40ZR17 tires.

I upgraded to ZR1 spec A-mold wheels (9.5" front, 11" rear) with 275-40ZR17 and 315-35ZR17 Nitto NT05 tires.
They work well.

Everyone has the A-mold's but who care? They look great especially with the lip on the 17x11's but if you are going to spend big money go with 18's.

Nitto's are good but they are not as wide as say Goodyears in the same size. Side by side noticeable difference.

I'll take a quality cheaper tire over the overpriced, look wider, crapyears. Thanks though.

I LOVE these tires! 70mph, rain or shine on the interstate with 315s all around. Can you do that with the goodyears?

Used to be i wouldn't buy anything but Goodyear tires period. They turned to crap for some reason and i gave up on them a long time ago. Poor tread life, poor ride and NOISY. Never had a problem with Nitto's.
