All of the magazine photo's I have seen of this are horrible. I had the camera out and decided to take a pic for those of you who aren't sure what it looks like/where it goes Etc. -from more of a frontal shot.
On a different note, does that camber brace really help out that much. There is allready a brace in that location just a bit lower. I think it is facotry on all cars. Does that brace make any improvemnt over just having the factory brace on.
It sure did make a difference. I know of nobody, who after installing one, didn't like it. Do a search and you'll see. It took me an hour to put mine on and I work slow. For example: it took me 4 hours to put the A.I.R. pump Eliminator Kit on. Albeit back when I first started to wrench my car. Install time on the camber brace is different depending on the year.
On another note, I noticed that you have a Power Coupler in place of the stock Accordian. I've heard that they actually make a SOTP difference. Did you feel any difference or is it a gimmic like my Power Tower. (The 1" plate that goes between the TB and Plenum) I also did the AIR Pump elim, only I got the Black set up.
Chuck, nice pic! Do you have to get a smaller belt with this set up?
Cool pic Chuck. I have the same system. Stock belt is utilized.
It sure cleans up the engine bay nicely. One dude thought I got rid of the a/c yesterday..I was like "nope...thats the air pump that was tossed".
Great pic! I am considering removing the pump on my '84. I understand the kit is not needed on my car. True? If anyone here has converted an '84, can they advise me on the number of the new belt needed? Thanks.

All you need is a 6-rib, 85" long belt. I just did mine yesterday.
Remove 'em all!!! That's the fun part. You will have to cap the manifolds, and if you still have the main cat, you can plug that to. Mine was capped underneith already. Also the big black plastic box on the passengers side can come out to. There will be 2 wire harnesses in there, so re-mount those. They sell the caps for the manifolds at Home Depot in the plumbing section. You'll have to remove the black saucer shaped fittings to reveal the threads. The kit came with 2 rubber caps, but mine blew off under WOT  . I put them back on with a clamp until I got the caps.
Its actually very easy, and the directions are good. Just rip out all of the hoses and cap the one that goes under to the main cat. Let us know if you have any questions.
Have you noticed an idle problem? Just curious as I just removed my smog along with other things and am trying to chase down my idle problem. I wouldn't think you would but it never hurts to ask.
