Good - you'd be surprised how many folks get an LT1 based Camaro or Corvette and the first thing they do is powerwash the engine and engine bay. Then complain the car won't start/run.
I'd look for bad plug and coil wires. Start it up in a dark garage and use a spray bottle with plain water and just barely mist over the wires and see if they glow or spark.
Also inspect the cap on the opti - it may have a crack.
Look for my post for the guy with the 93 that doesn't run right. Do the tune up steps, you may be able to get away with not changing the coil or icm.
Mine never ran right when really hot until I replaced the opti to ECM harness connections.
sometimes when the ignition module goes bad, any moisture in the air can get into that system and cause it to lose conductivity. Not exactly cheap at about $100 but definitely cheaper than replacing an opti-spark or wires.
