Lowering just the rear height ?
Since the rear sets higher than the front, has anybody lowered the rear to make it level with the front? Seems that it would look better.

I think the FSM says the rear should be just a tad higher than the front, measured at the fender lip. Provided that the rear is not lower than the front, it's fine.

The front end already lifts insanely on these cars during accleration, I don't know why you'd want to exagerate that. Like 92 said, front should always sit lower, and the stock height is quite close already.
You can try this method if you like...

I don't want to even think of lowering because I already sit low enough to scrape on some driveways.

2 to 4 degree of rake is optimum or the best handling. If you don't really care that much about handling, you can loosen the castleated nut on the spring bolts which will lower the rear just as mentioned previously. However, you may want to use a locking nut vs the factory style nut since there is only one hole in the stock spring bolt for a cotter pin.
