"Check Engine" light, where exactly is it???

"Check Engine" light, where exactly is it???

Apparently mine must not be lighting up. I have never seen it come on, so I don't know where the heck it is supposed to be. It doesn't actually show it in the user manual, it just refers to it. Haven't been able to find it in the shop manual either.

I am assuming it is in the Driver Information Center where the "Security" and "Park" lights are. Am I right?

I don't want to start pulling stuff appart to check the light if I am looking in the wrong place.

Turn the key to "on", but do not start the car. It is in that center panel and is red. It should come on when you do this.

I have two red lights, one next to the coolant/voltage readout, and one next to the oil temp/pressure. In the shop manual I have it shows a third one down below where reserve is, but that doesn't exist.

I am trying to get code readouts on the dash, but it doesn't seem to work. From what I understand the check engine light is supposed to flash, but nothing flashes. I know I am making the connection and am keeping it because the engine fan runs continuously.

No no, you're looking in the wrong place. It is in the center information panel by the other ones.

Battery Light
Hatch Ajar
Security
Brake
