Default dynamic efi conversion for 91? will my dash still work?

ok so I'm sick of going back and forth with my pcm and would like flash. Saw a few posts about dynamic efi conversions that would allow me to tune right at the shop. Does anyone know if my dash and gauges will still work if I was to convert over? the shop contacted dynamic fi and they could not confirm whether or not my dash would still work? Any info would be great!!

The car is a 1991 not 88....the username is misleading...I know

Thanks!!:wil ly:

All functions of the dash will work except for mpg and range.

You don't have a PCM , you have a ECM with a removable memcal (chip )
The emulator James93LT1 linked above allows real time tuning on your ECM from a laptop ( even while driving )
just like re-flashing the PCM on a LT1

Agreed, except '90+ cars put the VSS signal to the ECM first
(unlike MAF cars that had the VSS to the speedo with output to the ECM )
with a output to the speedo (through the CCM ? ) so a aftermarket ECM may require a Dakota box or similar to extract the required VSS

So if I did go the dynamic efi route I would somehow still be able to have my dash with the exception of mpg and range as long as I used something called a Dakota box?
