Cam, lifter question

Thanks for the reply, I did a rebuild recently and can't seem to get rid of what sounds like the lifters, I ddin't go to wild on the cam only .480 lift from comp cams and i used the magnum roller tip rockers, new push rods, valve springs all recommended from them but i used Crane lifters OEM style and was wondering if that could be the problem?

could be, you sure you set your rocker arms up correctly? that's normally where the "slapping" mistake is made. i thought about aftermarket rollers on my engine but decided the $210 GM kit was the way to go. you get lifters, the lil things that hold em in place and the spider looking thingy-ma-bober + a few bolts you probably use somewhere? hahah don't i sound techy? factory style roller lifters can handle .580+ on the lift, it sounds to me like there is a issue elsewhere or they are poor quality lifters. unusual for crane however, there parts are normally high quality.
