Default Jack pads ?

Are any of you guys using jack pads like these? If so, how are they working for you?

Do you have a better alternative for the standard steel saddle jack pad that come with most floor jacks?

Rather than try to point you to some take a "google image search" for "BMW jacking pucks"

https://www.google.com/search?q=bmw+...w=1213&bih=634

There are two BMW part #'s the C6 guys like and if you do the image search you'll see several different versions red, white, different manufacturers all in the images. There's Corvette Forum links to most all of them. Most are very inexpensive. I don't use them so I can't attest to one being any better than the other!

BTW - Are the wheels sold?

I use a plain old hockey puck.

I know, what does a guy from the south know about hockey pucks?

I had one sent down from My Nephews in Tenn.

Works great!

Nope - a lot of interest and expressed intent, but no ACTUAL offers yet.

I don't use any different pad on my C4, however I use a hockey puck on my C5.

For the C5's and C6's some kind of pad/puck is needed if jacking from the side. Most of them are made to fit into the oblong holes in the frame that the factory used for shipping tie downs. The BMW jacking pads are one type that fits into these oblong holes and is designed to stay there permanently.

On the C5/C6's I use a hockey puck, but a jack pad like pictured could work well.
