Default radio and starting issues

hello everyone im new to the hi tech world of c4's and i need help, just bought a 92 lt-1 auto, bose gold amps fried so i started to put in new system, all was going well until the radio started turning on and off a couple times then turned off for good checked all the fuses and found the theft fuse was blown not sure if it was from me.after replacing the fuse i have no instrument lights and car will not crank or start, when the key is off the information system lights are very dim and if you hit the horn button the blower fan comes on.thank you for any light you can give me.

Since the problem began with install of new system, remove all new components to see if operation is restored. If so, double check your installation plan.

Did you check the fuse box underhood behind the battery? Also, IIRC on the 1992 there is an auxiliary fuse panel above the passenger hush panel (bottom of dash above knees) - you have to remove hush panel and look up into dash to see it. I think there may be a fuse for the alarm system in there.

found the ground problem, but now disconnect the battery hook back up let it sit for a bit then the car will start and run then turn it off and i guess the vats is engaging cause it goes back to no dash lights and no crank,so all in all still lost.

Vats has nothing to do with any lites, dash function or ANYTHING besides the starter and/or fuel injection.

Go back thru the harness grounds and battery cables.

Follow the elec drawings in the FSM. If you do not have a FSM set, BUY ONE. You won't do well without it.....
