Reason: update
Since the problem began with install of new system, remove all new components to see if operation is restored. If so, double check your installation plan.
Did you check the fuse box underhood behind the battery? Also, IIRC on the 1992 there is an auxiliary fuse panel above the passenger hush panel (bottom of dash above knees) - you have to remove hush panel and look up into dash to see it. I think there may be a fuse for the alarm system in there.
did not know about under the hood, under the dash i did, that is where the theft fuse is and that is where all my problems started. but i will check under there.
found the ground problem, but now disconnect the battery hook back up let it sit for a bit then the car will start and run then turn it off and i guess the vats is engaging cause it goes back to no dash lights and no crank,so all in all still lost.
so your saying i would have a lcd screen and crank even if the vats was bad ,thats good to know because as of now i dont have any lcd screen and no crank at all ,so i dont have a fsm but do you know if there is a relay for the dash that might be jacked up
