I'm busy with some major repairs to my engine ('90 L98 350).
I'm not used to an engin with a oil cooler fitted between the engin and the oil filter.
Some people says it actually works against you and I can rather leave it out.
Will it make the engine run hotter if I remove it?
If the engin cooling water is hot in any case after a while of driving, will it not become useless in any case?
Owners that have removed it say it runs a little hotter. Just use Mobile 1 oil in your engine. That's what Chevy did and eliminated the oil cooler on later vettes. I'm not a fan of all those coolant hoses. More hoses more leaks.
