well finally the ^##$&#$ pulley is out, now to remove optispark clean off the front of the motor and install seals, opti, water pump, while under the car saw that the front half of the oil pan is leaking also, that's next on the hit list of repairs.
And just a big thanks to everyone that helped out with me getting the pulley off, just ended up under the car, wood, hammer and turning the crank till it broke loose.
When i remove the opti i'll open it up and post pic's of the inside..
Good to hear you got it off. I'm still waiting for my MSD opti to get back - I sent it to MSD to be rebuilt - it seemed like the best and cheapest option at the time.
I'll be interested to see the pictures of the inside of your opti.
Just curious guys. What other model (if any) did GM use the opti? I am thankful the distributor on my L98 is in the traditional place. Might my 07 5.3L have the same thing? I know it has a coil for every cylinder.
Anyway, 86 Corvette 235hp.......07 Silverado 325 hp.

with the way the bearing went bad on the pump it looks like it got soaked with antifreeze..

not sure of the years but corvette C4's, roadmasters, chevy ss all had the LT1's in them..
