cooling questions
Well, the car's not running as cool as I'd like and the original AC compressor burned (and I mean burned) its clutch, so time to do some more pre-summer work.
Sounds like a good time to upgrade the motor's cooling system too.
1. Becool and Dewitt both seem to have 2-row radiators, both pretty expensive. Does anyone know if these rads truly are a bolt-in fit as advertised? The core is thicker for sure.
2. I've already got a Dewitt fan, supposedly 2300 cfm, and my old stock front aux fan running together. I'm looking at a 2700+ dual fan set, also supposedly a clean bolt-on. Really? Seems the fan shroud would have to go. Anything else I'd need to worry about?
3. Speaking of the aux fan, it's old and not real potent. MAM has pictures of a replacement with double the blades but it's nowhere to be seen in the item list. Other sites have things that leave me scratching my head. Is this just a case of pick a fan and mount it somehow?
4. Honda type 2 coolant? A guy on another forum swore by it. Never heard of it.
