Odometer shot craps.....
Hi All,
The odometer died recently on my '88 coupe. After researching posts covering the problem, purchased and installed a used odometer motor off ebay. Unfortunately that didn't fix the problem. On the second attempt I bought a used odometer and motor assembly, installed it but still no luck. My trip odometer is working just fine. Anyone have suggestions on what to trouble shoot next before spending more $$ on changing out parts?
Is there a way to test the odometer motor to see if it's any good? The shaft on the original motor spun freely by hand, the used motor would not spin. I didn't take the replacement assembly apart to see if the shaft on the 3rd motor spun or not.
