Default Random stalling...Help!

Alright guys so lately my 94 vette has been dropping dead on me and leaving me stranded on the side of the road....what happens is the digital gauges go up and down such as the temp it will say 90' then say 180' my cooling fans go on and off, my gas gauge will go up and down and then the car drops dead on me and im left with a raw fuel smell??? The car will crank over but wont fire up I come back an hour later and she fires right up. What could this be, electrical issue, bad ground? the weather is getting nicer and I want to take the car out more but this has been raining on my parade

I'd say serious electrical. Vettes are 100% electrical. If the harness grounds are bad or corrupt,. or the power source contacts are dirty, that can and will cause it to do many bizarre things. If you are not comfortable with electrical mysteries, find an Auto-Electric shop. They will charge $75 an hr to diagnose but I have never seen one go more than 45 minutes to do that. The fix usually can be done at home or they can finish it in another 10 minutes often.
