Thank you Toni, but you're sure it's 36mm? I can't remember what I used when I swapped rear ends. I don't want to spend 15 or 20 buks on a socket to have it the wrong size.

Well, I did buy a new rear wheel bearing a month ago (didn't install it yet), I found the info back then and I went and bought a 36mm socket (verified this at my toolbox). So I believe my memory is correct. But, sorry if I can't be of more help.
36mm on my '87 also. You can rent a 36mm socket from Autozone (if you have one) for $15 from their rent-a-tool program and return it getting all your money back.
