All I'm saying is an LT1 with a 160* thermostat will run cooler on the highway than an LT1 with the stock 180* stat. It has been proven in the real world. What part of this are you not understanding?

Still not willing to put your money where your mouth is? Sounds like you have a big mouth and a small wallet.

Exactly!! Had mine reprogammed and couldnt be happier!! i am one that doesnt care that Chevrolet says its normal! 230 in a drive thru on an 80 degree day is too hot!! Especially when i can smell hot coolant!!!!

I picked up a new 180 stat today and will install tomorrow, spent today racing my sc10 short course truck just having fun. Thanks for all the input and will see where temp runs at tomorrow..
